“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”- G. K. Chesterton
Gratitude is many things, but it all boils down to living life as though everything is a real blessing and miracle. Being grateful to friends and family; recognizing all you get in your day-to-day life; noting little joys like a sunrise or sunset or rain pouring down that make you smile, and just being aware of how much you have been given in your life.
There’s a gratitude festival that began in 1965 in Hawaii when an international assembly decided that having a day each year to formally express thankfulness and admiration for the many lovely things to be found in the world would be a brilliant idea. Following the summit in Hawaii, several guests observed Gratitude Day on September 21, 1966, in their respective nations.
Since then, the number of people celebrating Gratitude Day throughout the world has expanded exponentially. It is vital to comprehend the significance of this day. Being able to express genuine appreciation TO OTHERS AND TO YOURSELF is a necessary part of life. Without it, we would be lost and unsure of where to go next.
And my gratitude to you for reading this till here. Many many thanks.
I wish you all grow with gratitude.
